We had a quiet Thanksgiving this year and expect an equally quite Christmas. We can’t fly across country to be with our siblings, but we are grateful that we can manage a meal with our daughter and her family since they’ve been staying home as we have. We’ve even managed to adopt a student living with our daughter so we can continue the tradition of sharing our bounty.
Even though we may all be looking at a dark winter of confinement ahead, let’s put up sparkly lights and smile and be grateful for what we have. And while we’re at it, think about how we can bring a little joy and love back to our lives and that of others!
