Merry Month of May

Book cover for Entrancing the Earl

I’m loving May’s warmer weather and sunshine. My roses exploded into bloom while we were making our first post-Covid trip to Napa wine country. They’re old roses with practically plate-sized blooms, so when they shed, the garden turns into a blizzard of pink petals. I have filled tubs with spent blooms. Out of curiosity (you see where my characters get that trait), I hunted rose history and uses of petals and learned Roman sybarites stuffed their mattresses with rose petals. I think I’ll pass on that one! So maybe I’ll indulge in another Roman pastime—drinking wine while being showered in rose petals.

Or maybe I should just read a good book out there and smell the roses. ENTRANCING THE EARL is out May 18th!
